They are about 1" square, are signed on the back, and include a card with a brief description of the process, a gift box, and a silver plated bail and 16" silver plated snake chain (unless otherwise pictured or noted.)
YOUR photo is applied to high-quality fused art glass. Images will be converted to a dark brown color resulting from the metals in the special toner melting into the glass. This process cannot be modified to create a full color image or black. Photos will be cropped square and modified as needed. You do not have to do anything except send the picture!
The process requires 2 full cycles in the kiln for a total of 30 hours. Very slowly, the glass is heated, reaching temperatures of nearly 1500 degrees!
Please send the highest resolution JPG FILE of your photo, by email, to amy@hunkydorystudio.com, and include YOUR NAME and EMAIL ADDRESS. If there are any problems or questions, you will be notified. And, if there are no issues, your image will be cropped to a square (close to the face/s or subject/s), before being applied to the glass. Then, all other necessary modifications will be made for you. NOTE: Unless requested differently, your photo will be applied to ivory glass as shown.

Every item you see is truly handmade, crafted from quality art glass using sophisticated techniques. The process of "fusing" or melting glass requires very slow heating and cooling in a kiln. Most Hunky Dory pieces go through at least 2 full kiln cycles for a total of 30 hours. Hand cut pieces of glass are heated until they reach temperatures of nearly 1500 degrees! Images are applied with a process that melts minerals into the glass. Additionally, some product designs have hand painted or glass "glitter" accents and bowls and dishes are "slumped" over molds to create the shape.
Because every single item is made by hand, expect slight variations.
