    Help and FAQs

You will see an option for "Custom Giftware" on the home page at the far right. Custom photo gift options can be seen there. Once you place the order, please send the photo (or letter, recipe etc) that you would like transferred to the fused glass item by email to amy@hunkydorystudio.

Keep in mind, that photos will be cropped square and that some detail will be reduced. All images will be converted to monotone resulting in a dark sepia brown color which is a result of the metals in the special toner melting into the glass when fired. Because this is inherit to the process, the image color cannot be changed to black or full color.

The photo does not have to be in black and white. All necessary modifications will be made for you. A mock up will be sent to you for approval prior to making your actual piece.

If you are interested in an item other than what you see here, or if you want a different size or color, get in touch and we can discuss other options.

It won't take more than a week for a single photo item, under normal circumstances. During Christmas, please just plan on "the sooner the better"! But even then, we can usually fulfill custom orders in that same time frame.

The night light fixtures that are included use a standard size night light bulbs (size E12) 4 watt bulbs. They are readily available at any hardware store, amazon,  and even most grocery stores. Replacement led bulbs that use only 1 watt are also available now at many retailers. We do not offer replacement bulbs.

First of all, so sorry for the inconvenience. It doesn't happen often, but unfortunately it does from time to time. There are a few options when it does happen.

    1. Reattach with an awesome glue called e6000 ( available at Michaels, Joanns or Walmart) it is inexpensive and great for all kinds of things. Just be sure to follow the directions (apply a little to both sides, let dry for a minute so it gets tacky then stick together and let cure for at least 72 hours.

    2. I can mail a mini tube of e6000 and new clip if clip was damaged.

    3. You can send back to me to fix and I will reimburse your shipping or I can send you a shipping label.

    4. If it was not a custom design, I can send you a complete new one and you can ship the unglued  one back with a return label I will email to you.
